Hello!
The show was absolutely amazing last night. The amount of young talent around nowadays is astonishing. There was such a wide variety of acts and everybody was great! From acrobats to dancers and singers to magic acts. But only one act could win which has been raised by various fundraising events from across the city. I can also reveal that the celebrity guest judge was Pixie Lott.

The first act that took to Bristol Hippodrome stage for their chance to wow the crowds was 15 year old Tom James from Devon playing his violin. He played it beautifully and the crowd loved it, he really interpreted modern and up to date music in to his piece. Tom also received excellent feedback from the judges.
The next act was a band called ‘EXTREME’ made up of three boys from Bristol, Michael Jones, Robbie Moon and Louis Dickinson. They mixed country music with R&B. They really made an impression on the sold out audience.
The next act to perform was juggler, Peter Smith from The Midlands. He unfortunately dropped the balls several times during his performance and the viewers were not really sure about what he was doing.
Dance group ‘DDD’ were next to take to the stage, with 15 members. They were from Cornwall and were very impressive.
Next up was Penelope Heins, a 12 year old girl from Doncaster playing the flute. She played a lot of tasteful, classical music which really entertained the judges and the audience.
Next was a magic act, Bradley Dert and his assistant Fifi Smith from Bristol. They attempted quite a few jaw-dropping magic tricks but unfortunately none of them were successful. They were eventually booed off of the stage by the disappointed spectators.
Benjamin Hull sang Adele ‘Someone like You’ which left the whole audience in tears. The young 9 year old from London wowed the crowds with his very heart-warming and touching performance
Youth choir ‘New’ from Bristol were next on stage. They sang a medley of different up to date songs with a twist which amazed the packed out audience at the Bristol Hippodrome.
Next to take to the stage was 15 year old acrobat, Fiona Heart. She flew around the stage and did amazing flips in the air.
Finally, last but certainly not least was singer 12 year old Robbie Smith. He sang ‘Angels’ by Robbie Williams. He sang it well although the judges did have to give him some helpful constructive criticism to go home and work on.
All in all it was a very good, entertaining and brilliant show full of young talent. I can reveal that the winner of last night’s show is TOM JAMES. He was a very good act and the Judges decided after a good couple of hours of collaborating that he was to go back to his hometown of Devon with the first place prize.
In second place was BENJAMIN HULL. The judges told the young boy that his heart warming performance touched them and everybody in the audience. They also told him that it was a very close decision.
In 3rd place was young flute player Penelope Heins from Doncaster. She was told that she is a very talented child that is definitely going places in the future.
Everybody did very well and each got a prize at the end of the event for their outstanding performances, costumes, make up and all round effort. They all thanked their friends and family and every act had a very warm round of applause from the delighted audience at the Bristol Hippodrome.
I thought that you would like to know a bit about the charity that the charity youth talent show was raising money for, Marie Curie Cancer Care:
·       Marie Curie Cancer Care is a charitable organisation) in the United Kingdom which provides nursing care, free of charge, to terminally ill people, giving them the chance to choose to be cared for at home.
·       Marie Curie has 2,000 nurses in the UK and last year they worked for 1,200,000 hours caring for terminally ill patients.
·       In total, Marie Curie spends over £80 million a year on its charitable activities of providing care as well as on research and development.
·        It was established in 1948 - the same year as the NHS.
We had a chat with a Marie Curie representative and they said,
‘’This is absolutely amazing, we cannot thank everybody that was involved in the show enough! To receive £2000 and from such a great show! We are so overjoyed, my job is such a pleasure and to be given this amount of money will help so many people.’’
We asked you to leave some of your comments, if you came to watch or you didn’t. Here are some of them.
YOUNGBOY13: I watched the show and I thought the juggler was highly amusing but I do agree with the placing’s that the judges gave the young contestants.
Ballerina: From the comments that I have read about last night, I think that I should have got some tickets! It’s outstanding to think of the talent of the next generation!
DoGlOvEr9777: I think that the amount of money raised is rather impressive

Well the show definitely was a success, and lots of money was raised for a very deserving charity! Well done to every single person that was involved.
